Do you break your own promises?
I just listened to “Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis for the second time in the past two weeks. I’m not lying when I say it’s the absolute best book I’ve read in years. Because I drive for work all day, I’m always listening to either a podcast or a book on audio. I have a lot of good ones under my belt, but “Girl, Wash Your Face” inspires me like no other. Early on in the book she addresses the fact that it’s so easy to break promises to ourselves. We swear we’re going on a diet, and it doesn’t last more than a week. We vow to…

Summer Lust List
It’s been a long month of kitchen remodeling at my house, and it’s left me beyond ready for vacation! Josh and I are going to Seaside, Florida at the end of August. We visited for the first time 5 years ago, and fell in love. I can’t wait to put my toes in the crystal blue water, booty in the white sand, and enjoy all the incredible eateries 30a has to offer! If you know me at all, you know I have to have some killer outfits to wear for our trip, so I created a little “lust list” of a few summer pieces that I’m dying to get! But…

Increase Productivity and Enjoy Life
Who doesn’t enjoy life more when you’re being super efficient and productive? It’s easier to relax and unwind when you’ve knocked off everything on your to-do list, right? I knocked off quite a few important things on my to-do list this week, so I was able to totally unwind and enjoy date night last night with Josh. I have so many cute summer outfits I want to share with you guys, but the rain is really killing my vibe. Luckily, I came up with this adorable little outfit last minute. I think it’s easily dressed up or down and appropriate for day or night time! Outfit details below: Guess Denim…

Bikinis, Boats, & Body Image
Josh and I rented a boat this past Sunday after church for the day, and had the best time! I love being on the water more than most things in life, and have officially decided that I want to buy a boat. Now, will that happen? To be continued. This post actually has nothing to do with boats besides that’s how we spent our Sunday, and I’m getting in a plug for my husband to see how much I REALLY want a boat! hehe The bikini I wore is from Zaful– Front Tie Bikini –and I actually have quite a few from there. They’re so inexpensive, but I’m not displeased with…

Wedding Wednesday (Part 3)
My last Wedding Wednesday! Picking up where we left off. If you are just joining us, at this point Josh and I are officially Mr. and Mrs. Ayers and headed to our reception! When we arrived at the Inn I had to run and change dresses for our first dance. We took dance lessons downtown Chattanooga a few months leading up to the wedding, and it is one of my most favorite things we have ever done together. I love to dance and performed most of my life growing up, so I knew I wanted our first dance to be spectacular. Josh was a little out of his comfort zone,…

Memorial Day Style
Our Memorial Day plans were sort of shot with the weather forecast, BUT it didn’t stop us from having a good time. My husband finally finished working on his race car, so we put the t-top down and went for a ride. I love no makeup, hair on top of my head kind of days. Target always comes through with the cutest outfits for holidays. I got this easy little dress the other day, and it’s so comfy! I will definitely use it this summer to throw on over bikinis, or just a casual hot day. I’m wearing an XS, but I think Target’s clothes are cut a little large: Tie…

Wedding Wednesday (Part 2)
I chose to get married in my childhood church for three reasons: 1. My Mamaw, who passed away in 2014 was insistent that I get married in a “church house”. I had such a special relationship with her, and wanted to honor her in that way. She also thought I was going to be an old maid, so I’m sure she was smiling from heaven all day long. 2. Freedom of Worship Church (along with my parents, obviously) laid the foundation for my faith, values, and relationship with Jesus. 3. Getting married in a church (to me) signifies two people inviting God to guide their marriage, while also honoring Him for…

PB & J Green Smoothie
“A healthy outside, starts from the inside.” As a blogger, I am supposed to have a niche. Easy. I am obsessed with fashion, beauty, and working out. Everyone loves to see pretty pictures of a blonde in a cute outfit, right? Those things are easy to capture and talk about. For me though, those things are all rooted in my health. If I’m not feeding myself nutritious things, no amount of concealer is going to cover up the blemishes that come from junk food. There’s no workout in the world that will cancel out a bad diet. And I’m definitely not going to feel very cute in my beloved crop…

Wedding Wednesday (Part 1)
Wedding Wednesday! So, I did a poll on Instagram asking what people wanted to read about, and Wedding Wednesday was the winner! I will say, reading other bloggers wedding stories/tips leading up to my wedding was super helpful. While everyone has their own unique spin on wedding planning and specific expectations for the day, it is nice to hear from those who have already been through it. So, if you’re planning a wedding maybe this will be helpful! It’s going to be super fun to recap all the details from our wedding day, but it’s probably going to be broken up into like 3 different posts. Oops. So, I’ll start…

Work Wear Wednesday
Work wear does not have to be boring! Sometimes it can be a struggle to look professional, but still maintain your sense of style. While I do prefer crop tops and body hugging dresses (and yoga pants) most of the time, during the week I have to dress business professional. I can’t complain though! I love dressing up and having a legitimate reason to get dolled up each day. And so, I’m going to incorporate ‘Work Wear Wednesday’ for all you professional gals out there who still want to look super cute on your daily grind. This is how I start my day: coffee in hand, work bag on my…
