Spa Smoothie
I recently revamped my smoothie-making thanks to Kelly LeVeque. I heard about her through Jessica Alba who swears by her recipes and nutritional guidance. If it’s good enough for Jessica Alba, it’s good enough for me!
It’s so common for “healthy smoothies” to be loaded with banana, pineapple, honey, etc. AKA too much sugar. Her recipes give you the perfect amount of protein, fat, and fiber to fill you up while limiting your sugar intake. Plus, they’re absolutely delicious. I’ve made green smoothies for years now, but her formula is perfection, so I had to share!
This Spa Smoothie is so refreshing, gives me energy, and fills me up for at least 4 hours. Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients:
- handful of spinach
- 1-2 tbsp chia (I use flax) seed
- 1/4 cup mint leaves
- 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 scoop collagen protein powder
- 1/4 – 1/2 avocado
- juice of a lemon
- 1/2 cup peeled cucumber
Directions:
Blend well with some ice!
